Job Description
Select Chemistry’s Technology Manager will be a pivotal role in leading the new product scale up, managing new raw material qualification, and assisting other scientists and engineers in product and chemical process design, initial QC specification determination, product characterization and documentation. This individual will also involve in developing product and chemistry technology roadmap and in coordination with the engineering and manufacturing management.
The essential job functions include, but are not limited to
- Lead formula scale up team and support product commercialization.
- Support both internal and external technology transfer.
- Manage raw material qualification and manufacturing adoption.
- Troubleshoot the process and quality issues at manufacturing site.
- Brainstorm and collaborate with R&D, QC, engineering, and product line management team members on new product strategy and execution.
- Establish initial QC Spec and rework plan.
- Maintain a safety practice in work environment.
- Develop/adopt, implement, and manage standardized operating procedure.

Requirements
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:
- 7-10 years of product synthesis and scale up experience is required. Advanced degree in chemical engineering is a plus.
- Proven record of chemistry design, product formulation, chemical synthesis, and characterization.
- Strong communication and customer service skills; effective public speaker.
- Capability and proven abilities in research, science, and technology.
- Ability to think outside the box.
- Demonstrated ability to be organized, flexible and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Exhibit ability to be a strong team player.
- Possess excellent written and verbal skills, as well as excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in an environment of constantly changing priorities.
- Ability to work independently.

Physical Demands and Exposures
- This position works inside a climate-controlled environment. The Company will supply adequate training and equipment to perform the functions of the job.
- Monday – Friday, 8am-5pm.
